Umang Integral School is run by Gandhamardan Integral Education Foundation and a co-founded initiative led in collaboration with Rajiv Grover’s Toys4poor.
Located in Danamal village in Balangir district, part of the KBK region of Odisha, the school is situated near the historic and picturesque Harishankar Temple, at the foothills of the Gandhamardan hills—a region renowned for its rich medicinal herbs and numerous beautiful, cascading perennial waterfalls.
In this geographically remote and socio-economically challenged area, the school serves underprivileged, tribal, and first-generation learners, providing spiritual, value-driven education. Our approach goes beyond academics—we are deeply committed to building character, instilling values, and preparing children for life through joyful, experiential, and purpose-driven learning.

We dedicate our efforts with deep respect and gratitude to the loving memory of Mrs. Kailash Grover, whose values of compassion and selfless service continue to inspire our mission.
Through the vision associated with Rajiv Grover’s Toys4Poor initiative, her legacy lives on in the lives of the children we serve every day. This school stands as a humble tribute to her nurturing spirit and enduring belief in the power of education and giving.
Our Founders
Rajiv Grover (Co-Founder and Patron): A former fashion conglomerate CEO, avid reader of philosophy, and the author of the book ‘God won’t help’. As the heart behind Toys4poor since 2018, Rajiv has dedicated his life to bringing joy to underprivileged children across India. He brings invaluable grassroots NGO experience and a deep mission of spreading happiness to our foundation’s core.
Ananta (Co-Founder and President): Serving as the President of the Gandhamardan Integral Education Foundation, Ananta brings a unique blend of corporate IT expertise (IBM, Symphony Services, and Genpact) and over 20 years of passion for education. He left his high-paying corporate career in 2015 with a singular mission: to serve the people and educate the underprivileged, marginalized, and tribal children of western Odisha. He champions a learning environment where children are nurtured to become confident, compassionate, and responsible individuals.
The Pillars Behind Our Mission
Twinkle (Founding Member and Treasurer): The true backbone of the foundation. Born and raised in Delhi, she sacrificed the comforts of city life out of a profound love for children and humanity. She works tirelessly day and night, ensuring the seamless daily functioning and success of the school.
Gyan Adhar Welfare Society
Satish Bhai (Founding Member): He and his Gyan Adhar Welfare Society (since 2012) serve as a guiding force and ecosystem partner, bringing deep experience in working with marginalized communities in Delhi slums and rural Odisha. His support strengthens outreach, impact, and sustainability.
Aashish Gupta (Founding Member and Secretary): Serving as the Secretary of the Gandhamardan Integral Education Foundation, Aashish is a dedicated tech engineer who provides his corporate expertise to support our operations. Driven by a deep love for humankind and children, he is fiercely committed to his dream of building a better, more equitable society for all.
Our Vision
To create a transformative learning ecosystem that nurtures children into knowledgeable, compassionate, confident, and responsible individuals, capable of shaping a better society.Guided by the ideal that “education is the manifestation of the perfection already in man” — Swami Vivekananda, we envision a space where every child’s inner potential is discovered and allowed to blossom.Inspired by the integral vision of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother, we see education as the unfolding of the whole being—body, mind, emotions, and inner consciousness—recognising the human being as transitional and aspiring to support the evolution towards a higher, more conscious and divinised human life.
Odisha, their work extends to rural and tribal areas, where they support initiatives like free computer education, community development, and educational support for marginalized students .
